Language-Learning Resources Recommended by AFRI Members:
Italki.com (language exchange community and tutors)
Tandem (application with language exchange community and tutors)
orangeorapple.com (make-you-own flash-card application with auto-play and sound. Directions for use are currently only in English and French, so Immigrants may need initial assistance for set up.)
Nemo Spanish on Apple devices: Beginner-level auto-play flashcards with sound, Spanish to English and vice versa - it’s great for the beginner who needs to learn initial vocabulary/pronunciation. Many of the settings have pictorial representations so they can be understood by both Spanish and English speakers. The learner can decide how often each card is repeated. (Nemo is also available in many languages and other devices, but the format is different in each language and may not be as versatile.)
